The goal of our Friends of Num-Ti-Jah program is to celebrate and highlight talented local artists, and share in the beauty of Bow Lake and it's surroundings.
Num-Ti-Jah Lodge has a rich history dating back to the 1920s. The original founder, Jimmy Simpson, arrived from England to Canada in 1896 as a teenager. In less than ten years he was guiding scientists, mountaineers, big game hunters and notable artists through the little-explored Rocky Mountains. His wild character, quick wit, and tall tales of the trail have made him one of Canada's most eccentric pioneers.
Num-Ti-Jah is located on Bow Lake, thirty minutes north of Lake Louise on Icefields Parkway (#93) in the heart of the Rockies. Num-Ti-Jah remains one of the last authentic Canadian lodges. Set in a location with unparalleled beauty, our 16-room Lodge provides a quiet, unique experience for guests.
